Admiralty Island Remote Kayak Rentals

Pack up your gear and board a float plane to Pack Creek Area located on Admiralty Island.  The plane will land at Windfall Island, across from Pack Creek, to pick up your kayak for the self-guided bear-viewing adventure of a lifetime! Explore the pristine coastline, camp on secluded islands, and enjoy the wildlife and isolation of this unique destination.

We recommend planning in advance, rentals are limited and shared with guided tours.

Single Kayak – $60 per day

Double Kayak – $80 per day

5% Local Sales Tax not included.

Before departing for Admiralty Island, rental guests must know how to swim and are required to participate in a safety briefing, sign a release of liability waiver, and pick up paddling accessories from our Auke Bay Rental Shop.

Pack Creek Viewing Area

The Pack Creek Brown Bear Viewing is maintained by the United States Forest Service – rental guests are responsible for securing their own Pack Creek Permits prior to departure.

Float Plane Ride

The flight from the Juneau Airport to Pack Creek is approximately 30 minutes one way.  Alaska Seaplanes has a variety of aircraft able to accommodate 1-10 passengers.  Guests are responsible for float plane reservations.
