What We’re Doing: Health & Safety
Alaska Boat & Kayak Rental Shop is committed to setting the standard for safety in outdoor adventure. We have always been about small group adventures! For clients for an exclusive, one-of-a-kind experience, check out Above & Beyond Alaska’s Wilderness Trips. As we embark on our 20th season guiding on ocean and ice, and facilitating sea kayak rentals, we want you to know what we’re doing to maintain a healthy workplace and tour experience.
Tour Experience – The health of our staff and guests are our top priority. In order to maintain a safe and quality tour experience, we request all staff and guests adhere to our health and safety protocols while on a trip with us. These include mask wearing while indoors, social distancing, and day-of wellness checks.
Team Members – Our crew cares about you! We’ll conduct employee wellness checks daily – any team member experiencing symptoms will be sent home until they are officially cleared.
Facilities and Vehicles – We pride ourselves in maintaining a spotless outfitting warehouse, office, and retail store. Vehicles are cleaned daily.
Equipment – All guided trip and rental equipment is thoroughly inspected, washed, and disinfected immediately after each use. Every client is outfitted with clean, high quality equipment for their adventure.
Mask Policy – All clients and team members are required to wear a cloth face covering or mask inside our facilities and vehicles. Masks are not required when we are outside, however, there will be times throughout your tour when we may ask you to put your mask on for a short time.
We Look Forward to Hearing from you!
