Join us in Auke Bay for a coastal kayaking adventure featuring wildlife viewing opportunities, island destinations, and incredible ocean and mountain views. After gear outfitting at our Kayak Shop, we’ll coach you in paddling technique and safety procedures on-shore before launching our double kayaks directly from the shop.

At the shores of the West Glacier Trail, embark on a short 15-minute walk along Mendenhall Lake with distant views of the Mendenhall Glacier, the majestic Nugget Falls, and the surrounding mountain peaks.

Pick up from C-Sign, located in downtown Juneau at the bottom of the Mt. Roberts Tram. Or, meet us at our kayak shop in Auke Bay/Statter Harbor.

Arrive at our rental shop in Auke Bay for gear fitting, safety briefing, and on-shore kayaking instruction

Launch double kayaks directly from our shop for 1.5-2 hour kayaking adventure. Keep your eyes open for harbor seals, sea lions, salmon, eagles, and other wildlife as you navigate out of the harbor into the open ocean. Route and destination will be determined by weather and marine conditions,

Return to Kayak Shop to warm up by our fire and enjoy a snack before departing for downtown Juneau.
